“When I signed up as a mentor for the EB Impact programme [Sustainability Exchange Season 1], I was not sure what to expect. I was paired up with a group later known as “Eco-Warriors”, and I oversaw their exploration of solutions to various sustainability challenges ranging from medical waste, renewable energy, energy efficiency, etc. Their energy and insights were impressive, and after long deliberations, we finally settled on a project that brought together many of the challenges – designing a green / sustainable outpatient dialysis centre for NUHS. It has been an extremely engaging and eye-opening experience, and I am now far more optimistic about the next generation’s ability to identify and solve issues related to the climate crisis and other sustainability challenges.”
