Seeds of Change reimagines Active Ageing Centres as community nodes—with a sustainability focused café run by seniors at its heart. Using ingredients grown through urban farming and sourced from food rescue partners, the café becomes a vibrant platform for learning, interaction, and purpose.
Surrounding this core, seniors lead complementary activities such as the management of a thrift shop within the cafe and will be provided with micro-job opportunities from the upcycling sector. They will also be able to host intergenerational workshops, and run community drives. The sustainable AAC café is not just a place to serve food—it is a space where sustainability, inclusion, and senior empowerment come alive.
