The Sustainability Youth Festival

The Sustainability Youth Festival is an annual event dedicated to amplifying youth voices and inspiring sustainable change. Bringing together students, schools, government agencies, and corporate partners, the festival offers a dynamic platform for young people to engage deeply with sustainability topics, present innovative ideas, and connect with like-minded individuals and organisations.

Whether it’s a new concept or an existing project ready to grow, the TSYF Challenge is your chance to bring it to life. Pitch your sustainability solution and stand a chance to win funding, awards, and support to turn your vision into impact!

The TSYF Challenge is open to students and youth groups who are passionate about sustainability and want to create real change in their communities. There are two exciting categories to join:

1. Sustainability Youth Changemaker
This category is for ideas that inspire behaviour change and raise public awareness about sustainability. We’re looking for creative, community-based solutions that encourage greener habits and social impact.
Examples include:

• Social media campaigns
  
  
• Art and creative projects with sustainability themes
  
  
• Environmental initiatives driven by students or youth

Who can apply?
Students at the Primary and Secondary school levels
Awards: Three winning teams will each receive SGD 2,500 in funding.

2. Sustainability Youth Innovator
This category focuses on entrepreneurial thinking—developing innovative products or services that tackle sustainability challenges in the real world.
We want to see bold ideas backed by strong planning and creative thinking.

Who can apply?

• Junior Category: Primary and Secondary school students – 1 winning team receives SGD 10,000
  
  
• Senior Category: Youths between 17-35 year old

  • Champion team receives SGD 20,000
  • First Runner-Up receives SGD 10,000

Team size: All teams should consist of at least 2 and maximum 8 members.

In addition to joining TSYF Challenge, you can also sign up to take part in the festival activities, including interactive sustainability booths, insightful seminar talks, and a career speed dating session where you can connect with green sector professionals.
